Teach and be taught

Att. This blogpost is written 3 weeks ago. I have beeb busy and lazy to update this blog.
Althought I have been busy at school, I have succeeded in organizing time for other things too. I have been sailing at sea from Helsinki to Kotka (last time this year 😢), I have been on gigs (playing and see other playing) and I have been teaching kids at school. I have band rehearsal twice a week, we have 2 gigs with Tampereen Ukuleleorkesteri and 3 gigs with Huojuva Komppi in this month. I wonder where I can find more time to my social life, dating etc. I'm still not stressed out because I've had fun.
Lazy sailing from Helsinki to Kotka
When I was in the entrance tests and interview last spring, I asked if I could work randomly. The answer was yes if I was able to complete compulsory school assignments. Teachers said, that it is not probably a problem. Based on what I know now, it's true. So be nice, kids, here comes teacher.
My jazzmaster project has progressed well. Modeling guitar by hand equipped with pencil and measure and making templates was harder that I thought. It takes time, I made mistakes, and start over after mistakes. Now templates are ready, and I have started working with wood, not just plywood. Final product can't be good, if templates are not good. I have learned that now. There are still many stumbling blocks ahead, but I think I will be fine.
Finding hardware to my guitar is time consuming job. There are so many options. Should I buy from local dealers, from foreign dealers, from Ebay, new or used, best quality or best price or something between them... It is not easy. We discuss these issues daily with my schoolmates, I ask different opinions at webforums and try to find information everywhere I can. I think that is part of profession and luthiery. And same thing with tools too.
